Now it’s just up to me to keep my new home clean and pretty, and provide good content so that the guest will keep stopping by to say hello.  That’s a challenge!

Lots and lots of things have happened in this past week.  Some of it I’ll tell you about now and others of it I just ask that you pray about and I’ll fill you in later.  I’m only going to leave you with good things today, so let me tell you about my weekend.  It was amazing and just what the doctor ordered.  My husband whisked me away for the weekend just to get away and be silly.  We didn’t do much at all and it was lovely.  It was nice to just relax and not think about everyday things like house work and work.  We swam in the indoor pool (I made Ry do a WOD in the pool), we had a pizza picnic on our king sized bed, we got all dressed up and ate at a nice restaurant, we slept in, I read my book, and we watched the Olympics.  It was heavenly.  This was Ry and I’s 10th Valentine’s Day spent together.  Hard to believe, but just as lovely as the first.

I started and finished the Nicholas Sparks’ book Dear John.  Great book.  As with all Sparks’ books, get that box of kleenex ready.  I also started the book The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson.  I’m not very far into this one yet but I hear it is amazing.  A friend of mine told me I needed to attend a NA meeting (nooks anonymous) meeting.  It’s true.  My nook doesn’t get too far from my hands.

Lastly, workout news.  Believe it or not, my body is still sore from personal training on Thursday night!  I think that might partially be my fault- haven’t ate much protein all weekend- but even so, wow.  As I mentioned earlier, Ry and I did a WOD in the indoor swimming pool at the hotel.  I don’t think Ry was too keen on doing the exercise but he did it anyway.  It was great fun.  We need more swimming WODS.  :)   I did not do a long run this weekend.  It will probably be detrimental to New Orleans next week (eek) but I’ll get through it one way or another.
